macOS says it cannot check TextFix for malware

TextFix is not notarized by Apple yet. Close the message, open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down and click "Open Anyway" next to TextFix. You only do this once.

The shortcut does nothing

Open TextFix from your Applications folder to see its settings. If it says that TextFix needs Accessibility access, click "Open Accessibility Settings", turn on TextFix, then click "Restart TextFix".

The provider does not accept my key

Check that you picked the right provider and pasted the whole key. Most providers also need a few dollars of credit on your account. Press "Test" in the settings to check the key and the model.

The model does not exist

Press "Test" once, then use "Choose" next to the model to pick one from the list your provider offers.

TextFix says the shortcut is used by another app

Another app already uses that key combination. In TextFix settings, click the shortcut and press a different one.

The new text is not pasted

TextFix only pastes into the app where you selected the text. If you switch apps while it works, the new text stays in your clipboard and you can paste it yourself with ⌘V.
